Required: Windows 95.A great program, it's small, but convenient. Besides looking for words, using the Dutch-English or English-Dutch lists, you can add your own words,practice words (with adjustable time-interval) and make your own list of words you want to practice.
- Ergane dictionary program (7.7 MB - unzipped it's 18.8 MB)
Required: Windows 3.1 or higher.This program uses Esperanto as an intermediate language for translations, which means, that you incidently get some words that don't really match. Nevertheless, it's a big, but quite useful dictionary program. The zip file includes the word lists of English and Dutch, so the only thing you need to do is unzip it in a directory (map) you made for this and start the ergane.exe file.
If you would like to have the word lists for other languages, click here. You can just unzip the word list files into the Ergane directory: the program will automatically use them.
- Taalthuis pronounciation & spelling page (1.92 MB)
Required: a browser that works offline and a device that plays wave files.This is an offline version of the 'Original' soundfiles page from the Taalthuis site, containing the .wav files. All the sounds in Dutch are demonstrated and there are a few practical phrases. Unzip this file into one directory and start up the sound.htm file in your browser.

Required: Windows 3.1 or higher.The helpfile d4e13.hlp contains about the same information as on the page 'Some things in Dutch' at the Taalthuis site, plus a few exercises and some information about Taalthuis. You can use it with the Windows help program.
