Books on topics related to Dutch language - reviews The Undutchables by Colin White & Laurie Boucke. When I opened this book, the first thing I saw was that it had been reprinted over and over again. I wondered why: were there worldwide so many interested in the Dutch? But reading it, I started to understand: it is very, very funny. Not only because the writers know how to write funny, but - even more perhaps - because the Dutch appeared to be funny. And, even being a Dutchman, I have to admit: it's all true. We are indeed remarkebly weird people. Quite nice & peaceful too though. In general. I hope. Some people seem to find some passages a bit reactionary or even racist. Others disagree and would rather call it a bit of a conservative point of view.
